Creating a Festival Anthem with
Bridie Jackson
Bridie Jackson
We are so excited to be creating an original brand new song to be our Festival Anthem. Full Circle are thrilled to be working with incredible North east based singer/songwriter, composer and performer, Bridie Jackson. She is a highly acclaimed musician and in high demand for her amazing community and facilitation work across the country.
The Festival Anthem is being written in advance of the festival and will be used as a huge explosion of community celebration to open the festival which Bridie will lead.
To take part in this musical extravaganza we are inviting learning disabled people from the Tees Valley to come along on 12 June to take part in drumming and dance workshops which will revolve around the anthem. Everyone will work hard in their own workshops in the morning and then after a Big Packed Lunch everyone will come together in ARC's amazing theatre to rehearse.
At 2.00 pm we will launch the anthem on the world from the theatre so please don't miss it. It's going to be a wonderful moment of community celebration and learning disabled people staking a very important claim on their cultural identities in our are! It's going to be amazing!
You can find out more about the drumming workshop with the wonderful Gary Bowden here
You can find out more about the dance and movement workshop with the incredible Urban Kaos here
And you can book to see the Musical Extravaganza launch by using ARC's website when it opens or by emailing [email protected] to reserve places in the meantime as we don't want anyone to be disappointed and miss out.
After the Festival Anthem launch, please stay around for our Identity & Me Self Portraiture Exhibition launch with Systemic Choir at 2.30pm
Followed by our Have Your Say about the Day with our roving microphones and video recordings.
