As the title suggests these pages show work created by INvisible group members from their own choosing.
Lynne Mcfarlane

Art Book Making
Lynne has made a beautiful art book from scratch. She has collated lots of lovely patterned pages, sometimes doubling them over to make them stronger and then threaded multi coloured thread through three holes down one side to keep them all together. Onto each page she has pasted new images, artworks she has created, mementos and souvenirs, and collage accessories. Two pages are shared here. First on the left, the background is mutli-shades of blue with a hint of purple. Framed with three pen lines is a vintage birthday scene including a clown, some balloons and a birthday tea, at the centre of which is a birthday cake. Text reads – ‘A birthday is special, a time to remember. Choose hard to beat refreshments like ice cream (peppermint) and cake (with candy balloons on the outside, fortune charms inside). And, give balloons to take home. At the bottom of the page Lynne has selected a line of text to add which reads, ‘a party without cake is just a meeting’. The next page is a riot of bold multi coloured patterns over which Lynne has places a series of images and text. At the top is an image of two plants – a close up of a spiky headed circular bloom and then a cluster of them on a stem with foliage. Bottom right is a vintage cherry brandy advertisement with a plate of cherries. Bottom right is an image of two elegant tulips leaning into each other. Lynne has selected lines of text – ‘find joy in the ordinary’, ‘collect beautiful moments’ and ‘remember to play’.
Two further pages from Lynne’s art book. The page on the right has a mottled turquoise topped with hints of green. Ove this Lynne has placed one of her ‘upcycled inspiration’ cards which is like a bold sun with many lines of light coming from it. Over this she has black printed a black lined flower with large petals. The pre-printed text reads ‘self-care is an act of self-respect. Respect yourself every day.’ Under this Lynne has placed a parcel label which has handwritten on it ‘thank you for being part of IN/visible, Love Little Cog x’. She has attached some of the multi-coloured cord to this that her book is bound with. The page to the right has an inspiration card on it with a three lined rainbow in shades of pale orange and reads, ‘your words have great power, always use them with kindness, especially when talking to yourself.’ Under this is a quirky little penguin card - he is wearing a blue and yellow bobble hat and holding both a fish and a sign for the North Pole. A seal is popping his head though a hole in the ice and the text reads, ‘fish you were here’.
