With her infectious laugh and high energy, Rosie Jones has quickly become a must-see act on the UK comedy circuit. The ex-television researcher was awarded second place in the Leicester Mercury’s New Comedian Of The Year Award 2018 and has gone on to star on Live At The Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg, Rosie Jones Tries To Help, Live From The Comedy Store, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, Comedy Central UK’s Roast Battle, Mock The Week and Hypothetical. Rosie has completed two sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with both Fifteen Minutes and Backward receiving critical acclaim, included the Scotsman describing her show as "both elegantly crafted and mischievous to its bones". Not forgetting her comedy writing roots, Rosie is busy working on sitcoms and wrote on the hit Netflix series Sex Education. We are delighted to offer funny disabled women a unique opportunity to take part in two Masterclasses designed and led by the phenomenal comedian and writer Rosie Jones around comedy writing and performance. Not only an acclaimed stand up but she has been a comedy writer for lots of TV shows.
At a time when disabled women need to disrupt, surprise and spend time together laughing a lot, what does comedy offer us to be creative and survive?
Join Rosie over these two sessions where she'll be giving you some comedy survival techniques, advice and practical tips.
Please note: You must be available for both workshops, as they are intended for the same people, to learn and develop over two sessions.
Each masterclass is for disabled artists and will be accessible but please tell us your access requirements on booking.
