Picture
Image description - Rosie is a white woman with long brown hair pulled loosely over her right shoulder. She is looking cheekily directly as the camera and wears a red tee shirt under blue denim dungarees.

With her infectious laugh and high energy, Rosie Jones has quickly become a must-see act on the UK comedy circuit.  The ex-television researcher was awarded second place in the Leicester Mercury’s New Comedian Of The Year Award 2018 and has gone on to star on Live At The Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Last Leg, Rosie Jones Tries To Help, Live From The Comedy Store, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, Comedy Central UK’s Roast Battle, Mock The Week and Hypothetical. Rosie has completed two sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with both Fifteen Minutes and Backward receiving critical acclaim, included the Scotsman describing her show as "both elegantly crafted and mischievous to its bones".

Not forgetting her comedy writing roots, Rosie is busy working on sitcoms and wrote on the hit Netflix series Sex Education. Rosie is also an incredible actor, making her primetime debut in a Silent Witness two-part-special and most recently starring as Penelope Lawrence in BBC’s Shakespeare & Hathaway.

“Her jokes are beautifully crafted with no beat wasted and punchlines that take you by surprise.” ★★★★ iTalkTelly

"Debut comic Rosie Jones is completely brazen, downright hilarious and will leave you snorting with laughter" ★★★★★ Ed Fest Mag

“Rosie embodies pure joy. She packs in the jokes, quick wit and has the audience in the palm of her hand. " ★★★★★Entertainment Focus
Comedy Masterclasses
Tuesday 20 October 2020 1:30-3:30pm
Tuesday 3 November 2020 1:30-3:30pm

Please note that you need to be able to attend both masterclasses

We are delighted to offer funny disabled women a unique opportunity to take part in two Masterclasses designed and led by the phenomenal comedian and writer Rosie Jones around comedy writing and performance. Not only an acclaimed stand up but she has been a comedy writer for lots of TV shows.

At a time when disabled women need to disrupt, surprise and spend time together laughing a lot, what does comedy offer us to be creative and survive?

Join Rosie over these two sessions where she'll be giving you some comedy survival techniques, advice and practical tips.

Please note: You must be available for both workshops, as they are intended for the same people, to learn and develop over two sessions.

Each masterclass is for disabled artists and will be accessible but please tell us your access requirements on booking.

Zoom details will be sent to you the day before the workshop.
